Adam Ant is an English singer, songwriter and actor whose theatrical image and genre-blending music made him a defining figure of British new wave. Born Stuart Leslie Goddard, he rose to fame as the frontman of Adam and the Ants, combining post-punk, glam rock, pop hooks and distinctive double-drum rhythms on the BRIT Award-winning album Kings of the Wild Frontier and hits including “Antmusic,” “Stand and Deliver” and “Prince Charming.” After the band dissolved in 1982, he launched a successful solo career with “Goody Two Shoes,” “Desperate but Not Serious,” “Strip,” “Room at the Top” and albums such as Friend or Foe, Vive Le Rock and Wonderful.
