Alison Krauss & Union Station is an influential American bluegrass and roots-music group built around singer and fiddler Alison Krauss, combining traditional bluegrass instrumentation with country, folk, pop, and Americana. Active together since the late 1980s, the group has earned widespread acclaim through albums including Every Time You Say Goodbye, So Long So Wrong, New Favorite, Lonely Runs Both Ways, and the Grammy-winning Paper Airplane, with signature recordings such as “The Lucky One,” “Restless,” “Every Time You Say Goodbye,” “A Living Prayer,” and “The Boy Who Wouldn’t Hoe Corn.” After a 14-year gap between studio albums, the band returned in 2025 with Arcadia and welcomed acclaimed bluegrass vocalist Russell Moore into the lineup following longtime member Dan Tyminski’s decision to focus on his solo career. The current group features Krauss, Moore, Ron Block, Barry Bales, and dobro master Jerry Douglas, and continues touring internationally with its polished blend of virtuoso musicianship and roots storytelling.
