Architects are an English metalcore band from Brighton, East Sussex, formed in 2004 by twin brothers Dan and Tom Searle. The band's current lineup includes Dan Searle on drums, Sam Carter on vocals, Alex Dean on bass, and Adam Christianson on guitar. Signed to Epitaph Records since 2013, Architects have evolved from a coarse, chaotic sound influenced by The Dillinger Escape Plan to a more melodic post-hardcore direction with their 2011 album "The Here and Now," though they later reintroduced their technical harshness with 2014's "Lost Forever // Lost Together," which garnered critical acclaim. The band's seventh album, "All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us," was released in 2016, shortly before guitarist Tom Searle's death from cancer, leaving Dan Searle as the sole original member. In 2018, they released "Holy Hell," their first album without Tom, and in 2021, their ninth album, "For Those That Wish to Exist," topped the UK Albums Chart. Their most recent release, "The Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit," came out in October 2022, followed by "The Sky, the Earth & All Between" in February 2025.
