Art Garfunkel is an American folk-pop singer, actor and poet celebrated for his soaring tenor and intricate harmonies as one half of Simon & Garfunkel. His voice is central to enduring recordings including “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “The Sound of Silence,” “Mrs. Robinson,” “Scarborough Fair/Canticle” and “The Boxer.” After the duo’s original 1970 split, Garfunkel established a successful solo career with albums such as Angel Clare, Breakaway, Watermark and Fate for Breakfast and songs including “All I Know,” “I Only Have Eyes for You,” “Bright Eyes” and “A Heart in New York.” He has earned eight Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Simon & Garfunkel in 1990. His recent work includes the 2024 father-and-son album Father and Son with Art Garfunkel Jr. and his 2026 What a Wonderful World concert tour.
