Brand New is an American alternative rock band formed on Long Island in 2000 by Jesse Lacey, Vincent Accardi, Garrett Tierney, and Brian Lane. Emerging from the local emo and pop-punk scene, the group expanded into darker alternative rock, post-hardcore, and experimental territory across albums including Your Favorite Weapon, Deja Entendu, The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, Daisy, and Science Fiction. Songs such as “The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows,” “Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades,” “Jesus Christ,” “Sowing Season,” and “Seventy Times 7” became staples of their catalog, while 2017's Science Fiction debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
