Brass Queens is a Brooklyn-based, female-led brass band known for New Orleans-inspired horn arrangements, high-energy grooves, pop covers, original brass-band music, and a live sound that blends the Big Apple with the Big Easy. Formed in 2019 by co-founders Alex Harris and Ally Chapel, the band has grown from Brooklyn street performances into national and international touring, with appearances at Carnegie Hall, New York City Pride, The Met Gala, Good Morning America, Blue Note Jazz Club, Brooklyn Bowl, Telluride Jazz Festival, Ottawa Jazz Festival, MusikFest, FloydFest, and performances with David Byrne.
