Cane Hill is a New Orleans metalcore band whose sound combines nu metal, industrial metal, alternative metal, grunge, and Southern heaviness with melodic and atmospheric elements. The lineup of vocalist Elijah Witt, guitarist James Barnett, bassist Ryan Henriquez, and drummer Devin Clark established the group with the self-titled Cane Hill EP and albums Smile and Too Far Gone, producing tracks including “Sunday School,” “Time Bomb,” “(The New) Jesus,” “Too Far Gone,” “It Follows,” “Lord of Flies,” and “10¢.” The band later explored a darker, stripped-back direction on Kill the Sun before returning to heavier experimental material through the Krewe de la Mort and Krewe D’Amour releases. Their third full-length album, a piece of me i never let you find., blends crushing metalcore with atmospheric alternative rock on songs including “The Midnight Sun,” “Ecstasy in Grief,” “Drowning Therapy,” and “Fade.”
