Cody Jinks is a Texas singer-songwriter and one of modern outlaw country’s leading independent voices, known for a deep baritone, traditional honky-tonk arrangements, and songwriting shaped by country, Southern rock, and heavy-metal influences. After beginning his career as the frontman and guitarist for the Fort Worth thrash-metal band Unchecked Aggression, he broke through nationally with the 2016 album I’m Not the Devil and built a devoted following with songs including “Loud and Heavy,” “Hippies and Cowboys,” “Must Be the Whiskey,” “Somewhere in the Middle,” and “Ain’t a Train.” His catalog also includes Adobe Sessions, Lifers, After the Fire, The Wanting, Change the Game, and In My Blood.
