Crashing Wayward is a Las Vegas modern rock band formed in 2020, blending alternative hard rock, metal and melodic rock with sharp guitar work and emotionally direct songwriting. The group introduced its sound with “Breathe” and the 2023 debut album LISTEN!, produced by Mike Gillies, whose credits include Metallica and The Cult. Songs including “Closer,” “Stranger Days,” “Circles,” “Holding For Dear Life,” “Bullet for a Heart,” “Going Blind” and “Brass Coffin” have expanded the band’s heavier modern-rock direction, with “Holding For Dear Life” earning a Classic Rock readers’ Track of the Week selection and “Bullet for a Heart” charting at U.S. active-rock radio. The current lineup features vocalist Peter Summit, guitarists David Harris and Tucker Jones, bassist Carl Raether and drummer Jon Gunder.
