Distinct Motive is a Canadian producer and DJ known for dark, minimal bass music that hits with weight but still feels deliberate and stripped back. His sound pulls from the early dubstep aesthetic while still carving out its own identity, which is a big reason he stands out in today’s bass scene.
Coming out of Toronto, he built his name by staying rooted in the original, dub-influenced side of dubstep instead of chasing a more commercial version of the genre. That approach helped him put his hometown on the map in international bass circles while building a following across North America and Europe.
