Dwight Yoakam is an American country singer, songwriter, actor, and filmmaker known for revitalizing honky-tonk and the Bakersfield sound with a sharp rock-and-roll edge. He broke through with Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. and built a major catalog that includes “Guitars, Cadillacs,” “Streets of Bakersfield” with Buck Owens, “Ain’t That Lonely Yet,” “Fast as You,” “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere,” and “Little Sister.” His career has earned multiple Grammy Awards, numerous Gold and Platinum certifications, and induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
