Fleshwater is a Massachusetts alternative rock band that blends shoegaze, alternative metal, grunge, post-hardcore, and atmospheric pop into a dense mix of distorted guitars, melodic hooks, and contrasting male-female vocals. Emerging from members of hardcore band Vein.fm, the group centers on vocalists Anthony DiDio and Marisa Shirar alongside bassist Jeremy Martin, creating a sound influenced by acts such as Hum, Deftones, Failure, Far, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Björk. Their 2022 debut album We’re Not Here to Be Loved established the band with tracks including “Kiss the Ladder,” “Closet,” “The Razor’s Apple,” “Linda Claire,” and “Foreign.” Fleshwater expanded its sound on the 2025 album 2000: In Search Of The Endless Sky, featuring songs such as “Jetpack,” “Last Escape,” “Drowning Song,” and “Endless Sky.”
