Fuming Mouth is a Massachusetts death metal and hardcore band founded in 2013 by guitarist and vocalist Mark Whelan. The group combines the chainsaw-toned influence of Swedish death metal with metallic hardcore, punk aggression and crushing groove, building a reputation through releases including The Grand Descent, Beyond the Tomb and Last Day of Sun. Songs such as “Fatalism,” “The Silence Beyond Life,” “I’ll Find You,” “Kill the Disease” and “Cheat Death” showcase the band’s balance of extreme heaviness and emotionally charged songwriting. Fuming Mouth returned in 2026 with its third full-length album, The Ringing Bell, recorded with producer and engineer Kurt Ballou and featuring drummer Jay Weinberg.
