George Lynch is an American guitarist, songwriter and producer best known for his influential work with Dokken and as the founder of Lynch Mob. One of the defining hard rock and heavy metal guitarists of the 1980s, Lynch developed a highly recognizable style built around aggressive riffing, fluid lead playing and distinctive guitar tones on Dokken albums including Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack, contributing to classics such as “Into the Fire,” “In My Dreams,” “It’s Not Love,” “Dream Warriors” and the instrumental “Mr. Scary.” After leaving Dokken, he formed Lynch Mob and released the acclaimed Wicked Sensation before expanding into solo and collaborative projects including Sacred Groove, KXM, The End Machine, Sweet & Lynch and Lynch/Pilson. His instrumental solo work includes Seamless and Guitars at the End of the World, while Dokken’s Beast from the East earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance.
