Head East is an Illinois-formed classic rock band known for powerful vocal harmonies, prominent keyboards and an energetic blend of hard rock, arena rock and progressive influences. Founded in 1969, the group broke through nationally with the 1975 album Flat as a Pancake and its signature song “Never Been Any Reason,” followed by favorites including “Love Me Tonight,” “Since You Been Gone,” “Gettin’ Lucky” and “Save My Life.” Founding keyboardist Roger Boyd continues to lead the touring band, which remains active more than five decades after its formation and released the album Full Circle in 2023.
