Jerry Douglas is an American Dobro and resonator-guitar virtuoso, composer, producer, and bandleader whose groundbreaking playing has helped redefine the instrument across bluegrass, country, Americana, jazz, blues, rock, and Celtic music. A 16-time Grammy Award winner and three-time CMA Musician of the Year, Douglas has appeared on more than 1,500 recordings and worked with artists including Alison Krauss, Paul Simon, Ray Charles, Emmylou Harris, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks, Elvis Costello, Billy Strings, and Mumford & Sons. He is a longtime member of Alison Krauss & Union Station, leads The Jerry Douglas Band, founded the Grammy-winning Earls of Leicester, and serves as co-music director of Transatlantic Sessions. His solo catalog includes albums such as Slide Rule, The Best Kept Secret, Glide, Traveler, What If, and 2024’s The Set, showcasing an adventurous approach that has made him one of the most influential instrumentalists in modern roots music.
