Jim Caruso is an American cabaret performer, singer, actor, host, producer, and showman best known as the creator and host of Jim Caruso’s Cast Party at Birdland Jazz Club in New York City. Cast Party is a long-running open mic and variety show that blends Broadway, jazz, cabaret, comedy, and surprise guest performances, with Caruso guiding the room alongside musical director Billy Stritch and a live band. He has also appeared on Broadway in Liza’s at The Palace… and released recordings on Club44 Records, making him best categorized as a performer / cabaret host / vocalist rather than a standard touring musician.
