Jimmie “J.J.” Walker is an American stand-up comedian and actor best known for playing James “J.J.” Evans Jr. on the landmark 1970s sitcom Good Times, where his delivery of the catchphrase “Dyn-o-mite!” became one of television’s most recognizable comedy moments. Walker began performing stand-up in New York before his television breakthrough and earned two Golden Globe nominations for his work on Good Times. His film and television credits also include Let’s Do It Again, Airplane!, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Scrubs, Everybody Hates Chris and George Lopez, while stand-up comedy has remained a central part of his career.
