Juicy J is an Academy Award-winning rapper and producer from Memphis whose dark, bass-heavy production and animated delivery helped define Southern hip-hop, Memphis rap, crunk, and modern trap. Born Jordan Michael Houston III, he co-founded Three 6 Mafia with DJ Paul and became one of the group’s principal rappers and producers, contributing to influential releases including Mystic Stylez, When the Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1, and Most Known Unknown. As a member and songwriter of Three 6 Mafia, he shared the Academy Award for Best Original Song for “It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp” from Hustle & Flow.
