Julio Preciado is a Mexican banda singer and songwriter from Mazatlán, Sinaloa, recognized as one of the defining voices of regional Mexican music. Born Julio César Preciado Quevedo, he began his career with groups including Banda Tiburón and Banda El Limón before joining Banda El Recodo in 1992, serving as one of the legendary group’s principal vocalists during a major period of its international success. After leaving El Recodo, Preciado launched his own project, Banda Perla del Pacífico, and built a successful solo catalog featuring recordings such as “Que Manera de Perder,” “Un Rincóncito en el Cielo,” “Como Este Loco,” “Dos Hojas Sin Rumbo,” and “Que Me Siga la Tambora.” Known for his powerful, expressive voice and traditional Sinaloan banda style, Preciado remains an important figure in the genre and continues releasing new music and performing with other leading regional Mexican artists.
