K-Paz de la Sierra is a Chicago-formed regional Mexican band that became one of the defining acts of the early-2000s duranguense movement. Founded in 2002 and originally led by vocalist Sergio Gómez, the group paired fast tamborazo rhythms and keyboard-driven arrangements with romantic grupera songs, building a major audience across the United States, Mexico and Central America. Its best-known recordings include “Volveré (Tornero),” “Mi Credo,” “Pero Te Vas a Arrepentir,” “La Vecinita,” “Silueta de Cristal,” “Procuro Olvidarte” and “Un Buen Perdedor,” alongside albums such as Pensando en Ti, Más Capaces Que Nunca and Conquistando Corazones. The band continued touring and recording after Gómez’s death in 2007, preserving his catalog through later lineups and new releases.
