Kevin Smith is an American filmmaker, comedian, actor, writer and podcaster whose sharply conversational humor and pop-culture obsession helped turn the microbudget independent comedy Clerks into a cult landmark. He created the interconnected View Askewniverse and plays Silent Bob alongside Jason Mewes’ Jay in films including Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and the Clerks sequels.
