Koyo is an American melodic hardcore, emo and punk band from Stony Brook, New York, rooted in Long Island’s influential hardcore and emo scenes. The band built its early following through the EPs Painting Words into Lines and Drives Out East before releasing its 2023 debut album Would You Miss It?, featuring songs such as “Life’s a Pill,” “You’re On The List (minus one),” “51st State” and “Message Like a Bomb” with Daryl Palumbo. Koyo followed with the 2026 album Barely Here, sharpening its mix of hardcore intensity, melodic punk and emotionally direct songwriting on tracks including “Irreversible,” “You Hate Me” and the title track.
