Lisette Melendez is an American freestyle, dance-pop, Latin pop, R&B/soul, and salsa singer-songwriter from Spanish Harlem, New York City, best known for the 1991 freestyle hit “Together Forever” and its follow-up “A Day In My Life (Without You).” Her debut album Together Forever reached gold status, and her catalog also includes “Time Passes By,” “Goody Goody,” “Will You Ever Save Me,” “Algo De Mi,” “Rise,” and “Hot Shot.” A key voice of the freestyle era, Melendez remains active on throwback dance, Latin freestyle, and classic club-music lineups.
