Little Feat is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1969, known for a loose, groove-heavy blend of rock, blues, funk, country, jazz, New Orleans R&B, and Southern boogie. Founded by Lowell George with Bill Payne, Richie Hayward, and Roy Estrada, the band built a cult-classic catalog with songs including “Willin’,” “Dixie Chicken,” “Fat Man in the Bathtub,” “Roll Um Easy,” “Oh Atlanta,” and “Time Loves a Hero.” Their albums Little Feat, Sailin’ Shoes, Dixie Chicken, Feats Don’t Fail Me Now, The Last Record Album, Time Loves a Hero, Waiting for Columbus, Sam’s Place, and Strike Up the Band show the band’s long-running mix of sharp musicianship, funky rhythms, and roots-rock character.
