Loathe are an English metal band from Liverpool known for pushing metalcore beyond its traditional boundaries with elements of alternative metal, nu metal, shoegaze, progressive music, industrial textures, and atmospheric electronics. The group centers on vocalist Kadeem France, guitarist and vocalist Erik Bickerstaffe, drummer Sean Radcliffe, and bassist Feisal El-Khazragi. Their breakthrough album I Let It In and It Took Everything earned particular attention for shifting between crushing tracks and expansive, melodic songs such as “Two-Way Mirror,” “Is It Really You?,” “Screaming,” “A Sad Cartoon,” and “New Faces in the Dark.” After the entirely ambient companion album The Things They Believe, Loathe expanded their sound again with 2026’s A Stranger To You, featuring tracks including “Fangs,” “Fortress Down,” “Gifted Every Strength,” and collaborations with Static Dress and guitarist Mansur Brown.
