Makeout Reef is a Los Angeles indie and alternative rock band founded in 2016 by vocalist-guitarist Josh Castillo and drummer Liam Reece. The group blends shoegaze textures and reverb-heavy vocals with gritty guitars, driving rhythms and the restless energy of 2000s New York indie rock. Its catalog includes the albums Existential and Star Power, along with standout tracks such as “Drive, Don’t Talk,” “Are We Friends,” “Get Here,” “Wallflower” and “Poison Tree.”
