Marion Meadows is an American saxophonist, composer, and producer known for his polished blend of smooth jazz, contemporary jazz, R&B, and soul. Born in West Virginia and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Meadows studied arranging and composition at Berklee College of Music and later attended SUNY Purchase before working as a sideman with artists including Norman Connors, The Temptations, Phyllis Hyman, Eartha Kitt, and Michael Bolton. He launched his solo career with For Lovers Only in 1990 and went on to build an extensive catalog featuring albums such as Forbidden Fruit, Player’s Club, Dressed to Chill, Whisper, Soul Traveler, Soul City, Twice as Nice, and 2024’s Just Doing Me. Known especially for his lyrical soprano saxophone sound, Meadows remains a longtime fixture of contemporary jazz radio and continues touring in 2026 with his Romantica Tour.
