Michelle Branch is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist whose melodic pop-rock became a defining part of the early-2000s sound. Her breakthrough album The Spirit Room produced enduring hits including “Everywhere,” “All You Wanted” and “Goodbye to You,” while Hotel Paper delivered “Are You Happy Now?” and “Breathe.” Branch also sang on Santana’s hit “The Game of Love,” earning a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, and later joined Jessica Harp to form the country-pop duo The Wreckers, known for “Leave the Pieces.” After returning to solo recording with the more atmospheric Hopeless Romantic, she continued exploring rock, pop and singer-songwriter influences on The Trouble with Fever.
