New Constellations is a Portland indie-pop and dream-pop duo formed by longtime friends Harlee Case and Josh Smith. Their music pairs Case’s ethereal vocals with synth-driven production, melodic guitar hooks, and influences spanning dream pop, synth-pop, electronic music, and dance-pop. The duo gained wide attention with their 2021 debut single “Hot Blooded,” followed by songs including “Think It Over,” “Does It Feel Like This?,” “Sun Chasing the Rain,” and “Dandelion.” Their 2026 debut album It Comes in Waves, released through Nettwerk Music Group, expands that atmospheric sound across tracks such as “I Disappear,” “Say That You Will,” and “Waterslides,” while their music has also appeared in film and television projects and been reworked through collaborations with artists and producers including STRFKR, French 79, and Peter Dallas.
