Oleander is a Sacramento, California alternative-rock and post-grunge band formed in 1995 and led by vocalist Thomas Flowers. The group achieved national recognition with its gold-certified 1999 album February Son and the rock-radio hits “Why I’m Here” and “I Walk Alone,” followed by songs including “Are You There?,” “Champion” and “Hands Off the Wheel.” After performing at Woodstock ’99 and releasing the albums Unwind and Joyride, Oleander entered a hiatus before reuniting and returning with Something Beautiful in 2013. The band resumed recording activity in 2026 with “Fourth of July,” its first new single in 13 years.
