Pauly Shore is an American stand-up comedian, actor, filmmaker and podcaster who became a defining MTV personality of the early 1990s through Totally Pauly and his laid-back “Weasel” character. Raised around Los Angeles’ Comedy Store, which was operated by his mother Mitzi Shore, he developed an improvisational, slang-heavy style that led to starring roles in cult comedies including Encino Man, Son in Law, In the Army Now, Jury Duty and Bio-Dome, along with voice work in A Goofy Movie. Shore later wrote, directed and starred in Pauly Shore Is Dead, created the documentary Pauly Shore Stands Alone and produced comedy projects including Vegas Is My Oyster and Pauly-Tics. He continues touring with traditional stand-up and Stick with the Dancing: Funny Stories from My Childhood, an autobiographical one-man show about growing up inside the comedy world.
