Phil Hanley is a Canadian stand-up comedian, writer, actor and author known for his relaxed delivery, tightly constructed observations and highly improvisational crowd work. Raised in Oshawa, Ontario, he began performing stand-up in Vancouver before becoming a regular at New York City’s Comedy Cellar, with appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Inside Amy Schumer, I Feel Pretty and Sundowners. His work includes Comedy Central’s The Half Hour, the 2022 special Ooh La La, the comedy album Please Don’t Chit-Chat While I’m Pursuing My Dream and the 2025 memoir Spellbound: My Life as a Dyslexic Wordsmith.
