Prentice Penny is a Los Angeles-born television writer, producer and director best known for serving as showrunner and executive producer across all five seasons of HBO’s Insecure. His career includes writing and producing credits on Girlfriends, Scrubs, Happy Endings and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, as well as creating and hosting the lifestyle series Upscale with Prentice Penny. He wrote and directed the Netflix film Uncorked and directed the Hulu docuseries Black Twitter: A People’s History. Penny joins Issa Rae and members of the Insecure cast for the show’s 10th Anniversary Tour, featuring behind-the-scenes stories and conversations about the series’ cultural impact.
