Queens of the Stone Age is a Palm Desert, California rock band founded in 1996 by guitarist and vocalist Josh Homme after the breakup of Kyuss. The group’s heavy, groove-driven sound blends desert rock, alternative rock, hard rock and psychedelia, helping bring the underground stoner-rock tradition to a worldwide audience. Albums including Rated R, Songs for the Deaf, Lullabies to Paralyze, ...Like Clockwork and In Times New Roman... feature defining tracks such as “No One Knows,” “Go With the Flow,” “Little Sister,” “Make It Wit Chu” and “I Sat by the Ocean.” The band remains active with the atmospheric live project Alive in the Catacombs and the 2026 single “Easy Street.”
