Silversun Pickups are a Los Angeles alternative rock band known for combining fuzz-heavy guitars, shoegaze atmosphere, indie rock, dream pop, and explosive dynamics with Brian Aubert’s distinctive vocals and Nikki Monninger’s melodic bass work. The longtime lineup of Aubert, Monninger, keyboardist Joe Lester, and drummer Christopher Guanlao broke through with Carnavas and the signature track “Lazy Eye,” then expanded their audience with Swoon and “Panic Switch.” Their catalog also includes fan favorites such as “Well Thought Out Twinkles,” “The Royal We,” “Substitution,” “The Pit,” “Nightlight,” “Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance),” “It Doesn’t Matter Why,” and “Scared Together,” alongside albums including Neck of the Woods, Better Nature, Widow’s Weeds, Physical Thrills, and Tenterhooks.
