Slightly Stoopid is a Southern California band from Ocean Beach, San Diego, known for a genre-blending sound that combines reggae, rock, punk, dub, hip-hop, funk, blues, acoustic music, and metal influences. Led by founding multi-instrumentalists and vocalists Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald, the group was discovered while still in high school by Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell, who signed them to Skunk Records and helped produce their self-titled debut. Their catalog includes albums such as Everything You Need, Closer to the Sun, Chronchitis, Top of the World, Meanwhile...Back at the Lab, and Everyday Life, Everyday People, with fan favorites including “Closer to the Sun,” “2am,” “Collie Man,” “Officer,” “This Joint,” “Bandelero,” and “No Cocaine.” Slightly Stoopid has also built its identity around collaboration and improvisation, recording or performing with artists including Bob Weir, Don Carlos, Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, G. Love, Chali 2na, Stick Figure, Pepper, and Barrington Levy.
