Soda Stereo is an Argentine rock trio formed in Buenos Aires in 1982 by Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio, and Charly Alberti. Combining new wave, post-punk, pop rock, funk, psychedelia, alternative rock, and electronic textures, the band became one of the most influential acts in Latin American music and helped bring rock en español to a continental audience. Albums including Signos, Doble Vida, Canción Animal, Dynamo, and Sueño Stereo produced enduring songs such as “De Música Ligera,” “Persiana Americana,” “Cuando Pase el Temblor,” “En la Ciudad de la Furia,” “Prófugos,” and “Zoom.”
