Spin Doctors are a New York City rock band known for blending alternative rock, funk, blues, pop, and jam-band musicianship into a groove-heavy sound. The group broke through with the 1991 album Pocket Full of Kryptonite, which reached the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, earned multi-platinum certification, and produced their signature hits “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong,” along with favorites such as “Jimmy Olsen’s Blues” and “What Time Is It?” “Two Princes” earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Their catalog continued with albums including Turn It Upside Down, You’ve Got to Believe in Something, Nice Talking to Me, If the River Was Whiskey, and Face Full of Cake, the latter marking their return to Capitol Records with the funk-rock character that has defined the band since its early New York club days.
