Taylor Dayne is an American pop and dance-pop singer-songwriter whose powerful voice helped define late-1980s and early-1990s pop. She broke through internationally with the 1987 single “Tell It to My Heart” and followed it with major hits including “Prove Your Love,” “I’ll Always Love You,” “Don’t Rush Me,” “With Every Beat of My Heart,” “Love Will Lead You Back” and “I’ll Be Your Shelter.” Her albums Tell It to My Heart and Can’t Fight Fate established her as a crossover artist across pop, dance, R&B and adult contemporary, and her career has earned three Grammy nominations. Dayne has also worked in theater and played Amneris in the Broadway production of Aida.
