The Amity Affliction is an Australian metalcore and post-hardcore band formed in Gympie, Queensland, in 2003. Known for combining heavy riffs and screamed vocals with melodic choruses and emotionally direct songwriting, the band built an international following through albums including Chasing Ghosts, Let the Ocean Take Me, This Could Be Heartbreak, Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them and Not Without My Ghosts. Signature tracks include “Pittsburgh,” “Don’t Lean on Me,” “Open Letter,” “Drag the Lake” and “Soak Me in Bleach.” Their 2026 album House of Cards marked a new chapter with Jonathan Reeves handling bass and clean vocals alongside Joel Birch, Dan Brown and Joe Longobardi.
