The Isley Brothers are an American soul, R&B and funk group formed in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1954. Led today by vocalist Ronald Isley and guitarist Ernie Isley, the family act has moved across gospel, rock and roll, Motown soul, psychedelic rock, funk, quiet storm and contemporary R&B during one of popular music’s longest-running careers. Its catalog includes “Shout,” “Twist and Shout,” “This Old Heart of Mine,” the Grammy-winning “It’s Your Thing,” “That Lady,” “For the Love of You,” “Footsteps in the Dark,” “Between the Sheets” and “Contagious,” along with landmark albums such as 3+3, The Heat Is On, Go for Your Guns and Eternal. The group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.
