The Psychedelic Furs are an English post-punk and new wave band formed in London in 1977 and led by vocalist Richard Butler and bassist Tim Butler. The band became a defining act of the 1980s alternative rock era with songs including “Pretty in Pink,” “Love My Way,” “The Ghost in You,” “Heaven,” and “Heartbreak Beat.” Their catalog spans art-rock edge, sax-driven post-punk, new wave polish, and melodic alternative rock, and their 2020 album Made of Rain marked their first studio album in nearly three decades.
