The War on Drugs is a Philadelphia rock band led by singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer Adam Granduciel, known for blending indie rock, heartland rock, psychedelia, synth-driven textures, and expansive studio production. The band reached a major creative breakthrough with the 2014 album Lost in the Dream, featuring signature tracks “Red Eyes,” “Under the Pressure,” “An Ocean in Between the Waves,” and “Eyes to the Wind.” Their 2017 follow-up A Deeper Understanding won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album and added favorites including “Pain,” “Holding On,” “Strangest Thing,” and “Thinking of a Place.” I Don’t Live Here Anymore continued their widescreen approach with songs such as “Living Proof,” “Harmonia’s Dream,” and the title track featuring Lucius, reinforcing The War on Drugs as one of the most acclaimed American rock bands of their generation.
