Thomas Dolby & The Lost Toy People is the full-band project led by English new wave pioneer Thomas Dolby. First assembled in Los Angeles in 1986, the group brought a lively blend of synth-pop, funk, jazz and art rock to the Grammy-nominated album Aliens Ate My Buick, featuring songs such as “Airhead,” “The Ability to Swing,” “The Key to Her Ferrari” and “Pulp Culture.” Reformed in 2026 for its first performances since 1988, the act combines Dolby’s inventive keyboard-driven sound and signature hits, including “She Blinded Me with Science” and “Hyperactive!,” with the organic rhythms and musicianship of a complete live band.
