Through The Roots is a San Diego and Hawai‘i-based pop-reggae band that blends roots reggae with rock, hip-hop and electronic-pop influences. Formed in 2007 and led by vocalist Evan Hawkins, the group developed its following through extensive touring and upbeat songs centered on relationships, resilience and positive living. Its catalog includes the albums Take You There, Arrival, Departure and TTR, along with fan favorites such as “Slow Down,” “Dancing in the Rain,” “Come Home,” “Bloodshot Eyes” and “Fire Away.” Through The Roots has also collaborated with Eric Rachmany of Rebelution, Duddy B of Dirty Heads, Lutan Fyah, Eli-Mac, Walshy Fire and Iyaz, establishing the band as a longtime presence in the modern California-reggae scene.
