Tumua Tuinei, professionally known as Tumua, is a Hawaiian stand-up comedian, actor, podcaster, and social media personality whose comedy draws heavily from local Hawai‘i life, family, Polynesian culture, and everyday experiences. Born and raised on O‘ahu, he played football at Punahou School and the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa before discovering stand-up through a university comedy class and developing his craft in Honolulu clubs. His relatable sketches helped him build a large audience throughout Hawai‘i and the broader Polynesian community, while his live career expanded from comedy clubs to theaters and arenas across the United States. Tumua’s filmed stand-up includes Strictly Aloha and Talk Story: The Crowd Work Special, and his acting credits include Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch and NCIS: Hawai‘i. He is also the host of The Stand Up Life podcast.
