Vana is a New Zealand alternative metal singer, songwriter, and producer known for blending industrial metal, electro-pop, trap-influenced production, and heavy guitar breakdowns. Born in California and raised in Auckland, she developed her sound independently, building an audience through self-produced recordings and a dark, theatrical visual style before signing with Sumerian Records in 2025. Her breakthrough single "BEG!" introduced her distinctive combination of aggressive vocals, haunting melodies, and emotionally charged lyrics, followed by recordings including "SERPENTINE," "Clandestine," "BITE BACK," "Pray," and "Bleeding Heart." Her music explores themes of love, obsession, revenge, and empowerment, drawing inspiration from gothic horror, fantasy, and alternative culture.
