Varials is a Philadelphia metalcore and hardcore band known for combining crushing breakdowns, downtuned grooves, nu-metal influence, and atmospheric melodic textures. The band established its reputation with Pain Again and In Darkness, producing standout tracks including “Anything to Numb,” “Empire of Dirt,” “I Suffocate,” “Bleeding,” and the fan favorite “Romance,” before continuing its evolution with Scars for You to Remember. Following another major lineup transition, vocalist Skyler Conder joined guitarist Shane Lyons, bassist Mike Foley, and drummer Sean Rauchut for the fourth full-length album WHERE THE LIGHT LEAVES, which pushes the group toward a more emotionally exposed mix of hardcore aggression, melody, and alternative-metal atmosphere on tracks such as “Where the Light Leaves,” “The Hurt Chamber,” and “Conscious Collapse.”
