We Came As Romans is a Michigan metalcore band known for combining heavy breakdowns, melodic choruses, electronic textures, and emotionally driven songwriting. The group emerged with To Plant a Seed and expanded its sound through albums including Understanding What We’ve Grown to Be, Tracing Back Roots, Cold Like War, Darkbloom, and All Is Beautiful... Because We’re Doomed. Signature tracks include “To Plant a Seed,” “Hope,” “Tracing Back Roots,” “Cold Like War,” “Darkbloom,” “Black Hole” featuring Caleb Shomo, and “Daggers” featuring Zero 9:36. Following the death of vocalist and keyboardist Kyle Pavone, the band continued as a five-piece with vocalist Dave Stephens, guitarists Joshua Moore and Lou Cotton, bassist Andy Glass, and drummer David Puckett, maintaining its balance of metalcore aggression, atmospheric electronics, and arena-sized melodies.
